Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue Training

Every year climbing technicians are injured or loose their lives while working at heights on a variety of structures. In almost every case these accidents happen because those involved did not follow safety guidelines, or were using equipment improperly. Working in the vertical world requires special preparation and training. Understanding how to climb safely and efficiently, knowing current safety standards and how they apply, and having a working knowledge of basic rescue techniques are all critical elements of climbing safety. ETI's Tower Safety and Rescue program is a 3-day training package (24 hours) designed for those who work at height on towers, buildings, and other man made structures. The training is especially valuable to telecommunications technicians, industrial technicians, communications technicians, electrical lineman, and utility workers. The course teaches essential skills and techniques, which are needed to maintain a safe and productive work environment. Course material is presented in a fast moving format that allows for plenty of hands on experience. The major concepts of the training are listed below.

Scheduling A Course

Courses are scheduled on a contract basis and can be conducted in any suitable location where adequate towers or structures are available for training purposes. To arrange a training program with us, we require a minimum enrollment of 10 - 15 students. If you are not able to meet the minimum enrollment requirements, sponsoring a course is a great option. By making spaces available to others in your area, minimum enrollments can usually be met. Contact our office for detailed information about scheduling a training program for your organization.
